Continue beating as you add the masa mixture in three parts.
Reduce speed and add broth.
1 1/2 cups chicken broth
Taste to batter and season with more salt if needed.
Place in the fridge for a couple of hours for the lard to firm up again. Then blend again adding more chicken broth until it softens up. Repeat this step as much as possible. This will deepen the flavor of your masa.
Notes
For the lightest textured masa, refrigerate for at least an hour, then re beat, adding a little more broth to bring the masa back to the consistency before.
