
Poor Man's Burnt Ends
Poor Man’s Burnt Ends are here and they’re anything but poor. They're rich in flavor and cooked until they fall apart. Delicious!
Equipment
- 1 Foil Pan
Ingredients
- 1 Chuck Roast 3-4 lbs
- Seasoning Your Choice
- Oil Veggie, Olive, or Canola
Instructions
- Cube your steak into 2" size cubes and place in a bowl.1 Chuck Roast
- Lather with oil season generously with your seasoning.Oil, Seasoning
- Preheat smoker to 275 degrees F.
- Place the cubes onto the grates making sure to keep separation between them. For a barrel smoker, cook for about 3 hours or a regular smoker 4 hours or until internal temperature is 170 degrees and the bark looks good.
- Have your favorite BBQ sauce ready. Get a metal foil pan and toss the meat and sauce together. Cover tightly and place back on the smoker.
- Cook until internal temperature is about 205 degrees. For a barrel smoker, that should be about an hour, for a traditional smoker about 2 hours. Check for tenderness besides the temperature.
- Remove the foil cover and let it cook another 20 minutes to help set the sauce and serve.
